What is Nutrient Therapy?

Nutrient Therapy is a popular type of therapy used for improving health and overall well-being. Although traditionally used for aiding patients undergoing cancer treatment, it’s used more commonly now for supplementing nutrients, which can be delivered through the muscle or directly into the bloodstream, providing quick and efficient absorption.

What are the benefits of Nutrient Therapy?

Benefits of Nutrient Therapy include support for improved immune system, anxiety, athletic performance, and recovery from injury, illness or surgery. Although some may believe that nutrient deficiencies aren’t so common, there are still some individuals who aren’t receiving the essential nutrients their body needs.

What should I expect with Nutrient Therapy?

Nutrient Drip Therapy can last from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on which drip is administered. We offer on-site services in the peaceful environment of our drip lounge or we can conveniently deliver your therapy in the comfort of your home, office or hotel- where you can listen to music, watch a movie, read a book, or just close your eyes and focus on your breathing. For those of you visiting The Lab, we offer convenient IV therapy or vitamin boost options pre or post workout to enhance your training and recovery.

What are some of the most common side effects of Nutrient Therapy?

Most patients report no discomfort beyond the initial needle prick to insert the IV, and you can resume your activities immediately after this restorative treatment. The most common side effect is irritation (redness, soreness, swelling) and occasional bruising. Some people experience a sensation of warmth and flushing during treatment or have a metallic taste in their mouth after or during infusion. Some of the other possible yet transient side effects include nausea, mild diarrhea, flu-like symptoms including body aches, fatigue or chills without fever. Serious side effects, including infection (thrombophlebitis), blood clots and air embolism, are extremely rare.
